Whoa that title is a mouthful but completely true to describe these protein pancakes. Now, I would like to preface this recipe by saying that I am by no means a great cook or even a great creator of recipes BUT one thing I am is lazy and this is definitely a lazy person’s recipe.
This recipe is great if you are dieting and craving pancakes – and they are actually pretty good. I have made a lot of different protein pancakes in the past by just mixing ingredients ‘willy nilly’ and some have turned out pretty bad. But these ones are gooood!
- 1 heaped scoop protein powder (I use Bulk Nutrients Protein Matrix Plus, it’s tasty and cheap)
- 1 whole egg
- 1/2 tsp of baking powder
- 1/2 vanilla extract
- cinnamon to taste
- water for consistency (Ok I lied, it’s 6 ingredients including water, sue me)
Combine all ingredients into a bowl and cook as you would normally cook pancakes and BOOM! You can top with anything you desire. I usually go with fruit and low sugar maple syrup, it’s always a winner!
